Toledo Storm get second NHL affiliate
The Detroit Red Wings’ ECHL affiliate, Toledo Storm, has signed a secondary affiliation agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals.
This season will mark fourth out of the last five years where the Storm have had a dual affiliation. The Detroit Red Wings have been Toledo’s primary affiliate in 14 of the Storm’s 15 years in the ECHL. In 2005-06, the Storm was affiliated with both the Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks; and from 2002-04, the Nashville Predators signed on as a secondary affiliate. Historically, the Storm has compiled a 116-74-26 record when holding a dual affiliation.
