Chat with Greg Johnson
Red Wings World had newly signed center Greg Johnson in a chat room for 15 minutes. While I won’t post everything that was said here since you have to pay a yearly fee to use RWW, I will post some comments and questions that I found to be most interesting. I will also summarize some information said during the chat.
As expected, Johnson will be primarily playing center (presumably on the fourth line), but he said that head coach Mike Babcock gave him the impression that he may play some time on the wing.
I asked Greg when he first learned that Holland was interested in signing him and he answered, “Holland called on Friday and asked if I was interested. I said yes right away.”
He enjoys spending time with his family and even does some day trading on the market. Greg also added that his most memorable moment was winning the silver medal in the Olympics.
The chat was not quite 15 minutes long and he didn’t really have much to say on a lot of questions so that was pretty much it. I thought I’d have more to write about, but I guess not. Sorry!
