Tigers’ Polanco injures shoulder
The Detroit Tigers second baseman, Placido Polanco, separated his left shoulder on Tuesday night. X-rays show that there is no fracture, but the team is unsure of when he will return from this injury (if this season at all).
He has been placed on the 15-day disabled list. Infielder Ramon Santiago was recalled from Toledo to take his place on the roster, and at this point, it appears that Omar Infante will inherit the bulk of the playing time at second base.
Mack Avenue Tigers has more on the injury here.
