Wings still looking for offense
According to the Detroit News, GM Ken Holland is “sniffing around” for offensive. Ideally, the Wings would like to sign either Anson Carter or JP Dumont but they haven’t lowered their demands to fit under the Wings salary cap. Assuming that signing doesn’t happen, Jiri Hudler, Tomas Kopecky, or Valtteri Filppula should be the Wings’ 12th forward.
“We’re comfortable going to camp with where we’re at,” Holland said. “We feel comfortable we can compete for a playoff spot and have money available at trade deadline.”

Hey Christy - saw the cap reference and thought you might like this site…

you might’ve seen it already, but it’s a team-by-team breakdown of salary. it’s usually pretty up to date too (though they haven’t put Franzen’s # u yet). Enjoy!

BDH- Thanks for the comment and the link! By the time I looked at it, Franzen’s salary figures were up. I’ve seen a variety of these up around the web, but I really like this one!
