Internship
Hey everyone! I have just become a Game Night Intern for the Plymouth Whalers (OHL), which is a team by my house but only 20 minutes away from Ann Arbor. I’m saying this because I don’t know if it will impact the amount of time I have to post. Games are really only on the weekends so it shouldn’t really effect my posting, but if I have some big exams and games to work out, you may see a decrease once in awhile.
Otherwise, training camp seems to be going well but I’ve been noticing that a lot of the News and Free Press articles are incredibly similar, which is a tad odd to me. Anyways, I’ll be going to the Wings pre-season game on Friday and I’m looking forward to introducing some of my girl friends to the sport of hockey.

Sweet! I love the Whalers arena. I may call on you to send a jersey my way (no, not for free), they look so damn cool.
What are your duties going to be?

Hey, congratulations! What types of things will you be doing? Reporting? I am excited for you.

Tapeleg & KC - Thanks for the comments! I pretty much do anything and everything that the Sales & Marketing Coordinator needs help with. I get to the arena 3 hours before the game and work through it. I’ll do marketing / promotions, tickets, organizing intermission activities, run booths, and maybe even the spotlight!

Congratulations on the internship! They are a great way to get your foot in the door. Sounds like it will be a lot of work, but should be a lot fun too.

Jaci & Matt - Thanks for the words of congratulations! I had my first “game night” meeting with the staff and received a tour of the arena. I start this Saturday so I’m pretty excited!
