Advertising on BtJ
Some of you may have noticed a few more text ads for online ticket companies here on Behind the Jersey. I would like to first thank them for their business and secondly encourage anyone who needs to buy tickets to a sporting event, to check out the companies on the sidebar to the right.
As many of you know, I am a college student and I have an unpaid internship with the Plymouth Whalers. Plus I was unable to work over the summer due to my major knee surgery and recovery so I have zero income and have not had a job since two summers ago because of my health. These advertisements provide me with a tiny bit of spending money that I would not have otherwise. 99% of the money I receive from BtJ ads go back into this website whether it’s using them to order The Hockey News subscription, buying tickets to a Red Wings game, costs for my web host and domain, hockey books, etc. I will never let ads enter the main text and content of the website and ads will only be found on the sidebar of BtJ.
There are also links to Amazon.com on the sidebar so if you’re the type who likes to buy books and DVDs on Amazon, please just click on that link and buy them through there. For every referral that ends in a purchase, BtJ receives a very small percentage of the cost of the item(s). I buy a lot on Amazon.com and always buy my purchases through other hockey blogs referrals. If you don’t shop on Amazon, then just ignore this paragraph. 
Anyways, I just wanted to explain why you may have noticed some more advertising on BtJ, but that it will never enter the “content” of BtJ. If you are interested in advertising on BtJ, please send me an email. Thanks!
