Sweden team visits Wings locker room
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Ann Arbor is hosting the Four Nations Cup tournament and the four countries participating are Sweden, Finland, Germany, and USA. The championship game is tomorrow at 7pm. The third place game will be held earlier in the day at 3:30pm. The USA team is 2-1 in the tournament making their only loss against Sweden who is 3-0.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the Sweden team visited the Wings locker room after the optional morning skate on Sunday.
Team captain Henrik Eriksson was one of several players who snapped photos of Henrik Zetterberg’s locker stall.
“It’s very nice to be inside (the) locker room to see all the players,” Eriksson said. “Lot of Swedes.”
Who is Eriksson’s favorite player?
“Lidstrom, also (Pavel) Datsyuk,” said Eriksson, who added that back home he usually watches games of Djurgardens, where defenseman Niklas Kronwall once played.
