Wings’ high school journalist day
The Detroit Red Wings will be hosting their annual high school journalist day sometime next week.

Over 25 high schools from metro Detroit will attend the event. The event includes an opportunity for students to have a question and answer period with GM Ken Holland.
I was fortunate enough to attend that event in the spring of 2004. I got to participate in mock press conferences with Dave Lewis, Barry Smith, Jason Williams, Kris Draper, Mark Mowers, and three members of the media. For my recap of the event in 2004, you can check out this post. I’m hoping that this set of high school students will be able to ask questions to players as well, not just Holland.
