Autographed pucks

Going to the Red Wings game tomorrow? Well, you may want to bring along an extra $20 if you’re interested in getting a signed puck by a Wings’ player. Money raised from this event will be going towards the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.

Looking for a last minute gift for mom this Mother’s Day? The Red Wings’ wives can help.
Fans attending Game 2 of the Western Conference finals on Sunday, May 13 can participate in a surprise puck draw to benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.

For $20, fans can purchase a puck signed by a current Red Wings’ player. The selection is at random and two lucky fans, who draw pucks signed in gold, will receive an autographed jersey.

The pucks — wrapped in Red Wings’ colors complete with candy to satisfy mom’s sweet tooth — will be available for purchase at tables set up on the concourse at Joe Louis Arena beginning at 5:30 p.m. (when the doors open for the game).

Fans are encouraged to get to the puck draw tables early as pucks at an earlier event this season sold-out prior to game time.

The Detroit Red Wings Foundation is a division of Ilitch Charities for Children. The foundation’s mission is to satisfy the unique needs of our community through the sport of hockey.

Thanks for the heads up, Christy :) I was planning on getting out there a bit early anyway, but now I have even more incentive.
