Blackhawks sign Robert Lang

Well, I can’t say I’m too surprised that the Chicago Blackhawks signed Robert Lang.

We will see former Wings Robert Lang and Jason Williams play 8x this upcoming season after Lang signed a two year contract for $8 million. He actually received a raise from what he was making with the Wings and aside from one very timely goal in the series against San Jose, he frustrated fans more than anything else. There’s a reason why fans call him “Lazy Lang.”

”Robert gives us another offensive weapon at the center position,” said general manager Dale Tallon. ”He is a right hand shot who will be able to help us on our power play. He has played with Martin Havlat in International competition and they have a very good chemistry together. He definitely gives us more strength up the middle.”
