Wings to play in softball charity game against Royal Oak Fire Fighters
Seven Detroit Red Wings players are currently scheduled to play in a softball charity game versus the Royal Oak Fire Fighters on September 9th at 2pm. Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Chelios, Dan Cleary, Kris Draper, Brett Lebda, Andreas Lilja and Kirk Maltby will all be playing in the game. The game will take place at Memorial Field in Royal Oak.
General admission tickets are $10 and the proceeds will go to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow at the Hockeytown Authentics in Troy, at all three Royal Oak Fire Stations and at the Joe Louis Arena season ticket office at 313-396-7575.
I believe it’ll be the first official Red Wings event that I will be working at as an intern so it should be a fun afternoon!
