BTJ Update
Hey everybody,
I wanted to let you know that there will be some changes to BTJ by the new year.
I realized that I had started to do too much this summer and I couldn’t maintain it all during the school year. As such, I have stepped down as a blogger at Lions Den and Big House Football. I am also currently looking for a co-blogger to help me out at Winging It In Motown.
I started BTJ during the lockout and have truly enjoyed seeing it grow over the years. I reached my peak number of daily visitors this summer. Unfortunately, those numbers are dwindling and I’m assuming it’s because my posting frequency has dropped considerably since those summer months. I am very proud of all that I have accomplished so far with BTJ and enjoy interacting with the rest of the hockey blogosphere. That’s why I’m cutting some of my other blogging commitments and getting additional help with WIM. I want to get BTJ back to where it was over the summer and return to consistently getting out new content daily or every other day. I also want to bring back my popular Behind the Blog feature that has been on hiatus for awhile now.
I have three exams, a paper, and a project between today and December 18th and I will also be working 45 hours at the Joe in that timespan. Upon completion of this semester, I will devote my free time to improving BTJ. I hope to get a re-design out by New Year’s since this current design has been around since August 2006 when I switched from Blogger to WordPress. If anyone has any suggestions regarding design, content, or features that can be implemented when I do the re-design, feel free to leave a comment or drop me an email.
I would personally like to thank all of the BTJ readers. Thank you for visiting, reading my posts, and commenting. I would like to apologize for the decrease of posts since this summer and I promise to work hard on returning BTJ to what it was earlier this year while making it up to you in the process.
