Welcome to BTJ v 3.0
It was back in August 2006 when BTJ made the move from Blogger to Wordpress and its own domain. After a year and a half with the same design, BTJ has moved on to version 3.0 featuring a more simplistic and clean line design to start 2008.
Not only should you see a new graphical design and layout, but there also have been some feature adjustments as well.
1. If you click on a post, you will see five links to other related BTJ posts (if there are any). After finally transferring the theme to the real BTJ (and not my test site), I realized I have to make tags for all these posts so it will take awhile before you can truly benefit from the related posts feature, but it’s coming.
2. The sidebar has received an overhaul. It will primarily feature RSS, advertisements, StatCounter hit number, a Google Reader widget with what feeds I’m reading, and categories of the various posts.
3. Speaking of categories, I eliminated about half of the categories because there had gotten to be too many. Instead of categories for each Detroit sports team, there is now a Detroit Sports category. There is only one category representing U of M sports now instead of one for each sport I mentioned.
4. I moved the archives from the sidebar to its own separate page. If you click on Archives above, you will see a detailed expandable list of all the posts on BTJ since its inception.
5. The links page was updated.
6. I removed the Reviews page. You can view reviews of DVDs and books that I have done under the Reviews category.
7. I removed the As Seen In… page by merely taking the content of that page and putting it under the About BTJ page. I made other updates to the About BTJ page as well.
Overall, the new design represents my goal to have a simple blog where I get back to the basics and just talk about the team I love and have followed since I was a little girl.
I hope to have the popular Behind the Blog feature return to its weekly Monday posts. Due to my busy schedule, I am also interested in having guest bloggers. Have an opinion about the Wings or even the NHL? Send me an email with what you want to write about and we’ll go from there.

Doomsberry & Kurt- Thanks for the compliments! I’m liking the simpler look and while I liked the old design, it was time for a change and its a bit refreshing.
