Calgary comes back to win 4-3

Wow. I just stayed up to watch the Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks game. The Sharks scored three goals in the first 3:33 of the game. Head coach Mike Keenan pulled Miikka Kiprusoff after the third goal and put Curtis Joseph, a former Wings goaltender, in net for the rest of the game.

The Flames came from behind to win the game, 4-3. It was just crazy to see them storm back like that. Real gutsy play to overcome that kind of early deficit. And then to see the Saddledome dead after those three Sharks’ goals and then rocking when Calgary scored the game winning goal within two minutes left. Just wow.

The Rangers and Canadiens had a chance to go up 3-0 in their series, but they both lost in overtime. Let’s hope Detroit breaks from that pattern tomorrow and earns a win in what should be a hard fought game in Nashville.

I wasn’t planning on posting anything tonight, but that game was too crazy to not say anything.

    Two things:

That Sarich hit was what really turned that game around (and brought the building back to life).

Julie was in shock when she saw the crowd at the Saddledome. She thought at first the arena was totally empty because it was so red.
