Wings head to Stanley Cup Finals
The Detroit Red Wings are going to the Stanley Cup Finals!!!
This will be their fourth trip in the last 11 Stanley Cup Finals. The Red Wings have made it to the Finals 23 times in their franchise history.
After the win, Versus showed the schedule for the Finals:
Game #1 - Saturday, May 24th [Coverage begins at 7:30pm on Versus] - Detroit
Game #2 - Monday, May 26th [Coverage begins at 7:30pm on Versus] - Detroit
Game #3 - Wednesday, May 28th [Coverage begins at 8pm on NBC] - Pittsburgh
Game #4 - Saturday, May 30th [Coverage begins at 8pm on NBC] - Pittsburgh
Game #5 - Monday, June 2nd - Detroit
Game #6 - Wednesday, June 4th - Pittsburgh
Game #7 - Saturday, June 6th - Detroit

So, are you hoping for a sweep so you don’t have to come back from Chicago, or to win the Cup at home on the 2nd/6th and have to make those extra trips?
Congrats on soon being able to cross off the #1 item on your “before I die” list. Maybe you’ll even get to #4 too during the SCF?!

Steve, I’m just hoping we win and I’ll take any way that happens. I’m waiting to hear back from my boss to see if I can get a half day on the 2nd and leave in time to work the Wings game, so we’ll have to wait and see. If it went to Game #7, I could totally work that game so it’s just Game #5 that’s a problem. But it’s a good problem to have!

I’m worried the Wings havent seen the speed the Pens have and that will hurt them. Also Pittsburgh’s Def. is very very underrated!
