Wings sell 8000 tickets in 10 minutes

Earlier today at noon, tickets for the four total possible home games in the Stanley Cup Finals went on sale. Within ten minutes, around 8000 tickets were sold. As of 3pm, there were just under 100 single seat tickets left for the entire series. I don’t know how many are left as of right now.

Tomorrow, the Pittsburgh home games go on sale on TicketMaster. For any Detroit fan who was hoping to get their hands on tickets there, you’re out of luck.

Mellon Arena is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Sales to this event will be restricted to residents of PA, OH, WV, MD, NY, NJ, DE, VA and the District of Columbia. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside of PA, OH, WV, MD, NY, NJ, DE, VA and the District of Columbia will be canceled without notice and refunds given.

That leaves Detroit fans with other ticket places like Stubhub. The cheapest ticket on Stubhub for a Pittsburgh home game is $425. Sorry, I don’t have that kind of money. Looks like I will be staying in Detroit and Chicago for the duration of the series.
